The Western Wall / HaKotel:
It's not about the stones or superstition. And we do not worship/pray to the Wall.
Fact is, nothing is more awe-inspiring than praying (or just being) at the only wall that is left of the compound of the Holy Temple built by King Solomon, destroyed and rebuilt after the exile and again destroyed almost 2000 years ago.
If you stay in the area of the Kotel for long enough, you will see the whole nation of Israel (well, almost the whole world, as there are lots of tourists too) pass by and you will know exactly what is going on in their minds and hearts.... whether tragedy and sorrow or festivals and celebration.
It is a place where, once you breathed THAT air, drank THAT water and felt the heat of the sun THERE, you will never want to leave again.
It is truly the place where "the eye of Hashem is on the land from the beginning of the year to the year's end."
You will then not be able to deny that this is truly the "Eye of the Universe", the gateway to heaven, the House of Hashem! (Bereishit/Genesis 28)

Israel is the home of Judaism - the religion of the Children of Israel - as promised and given by Hashem to the Hebrew nation in the Bible. (Bereishit/Genesis)
They were instructed to occupy the whole land, as set out in the Torah - and they are trying to do just that; the only problem is that they are met with resistance from everywhere.
Why does everyone else also want Israel, unless it is really the centre of the universe?
Ask yourself that question!!
Other Religions in Israel
Israel is also seen as holy to the 2 other major world religions (Christianity & Islam) although there are many more religions represented in Israel.
They are privileged to share the land Hashem gave to the people of Israel, with them.
